We have LGPC members who are home-bound and no longer able to make it to church. You can be a connecting link of friendship and God’s love by making regular visits once or twice a month. Make a difference in someone’s life and enrich your own as a member of the Friendship Visitation Ministry. We meet once a month to share updates, encouragement, and ideas for ministry.
We have many home-bound church members who enjoy receiving offsite communion. If you have ever been ordained as an elder or deacon and are willing to visit home-bound church members on the first Sunday of the month, you can be a blessing in the life of a Lake Grove member/friend who is unable to attend worship.
The Memorial Service team cares for bereaved families, their friends, and loved ones by preparing for and conducting memorial service receptions.
Many in our church family are no longer able to drive. Currently, members of this team drive Lake Grove members/friends to appointments or to run errands. No special license or experience is required.
The mission of Helping Hands is to collect donated household items from our parishioners’ residences and deliver them to a storage warehouse in Canby. From this warehouse these items are directly donated to the clients of Love, Inc.
This ministry lends medical equipment to members of Lake Grove and the community. Donations may be accepted based on need and condition.
Pastor Susan Graham and other members of the pastoral team regularly provide pastoral care in the form of prayer, encouragement, and spiritual direction for congregants in the office and in homes, hospitals and care facilities upon request. Emergency/crisis pastoral care may be accessed by calling the church during normal office hours, 503-636-5656, or leaving a message on the pastors’ voicemail at 503-210-6062.
The Meal Ministry is a way for our community to show love and support to people by providing meals at times when a home-cooked meal can feed our body and soul – during life’s challenges and struggles such as following recent hospitalization, arrival of a new baby, bereavement, etc.
The Deacon’s Pantry partner with Hunger Fighers to provide food for hurting people in our local community. Help restock our pantry by donating food items as posted in the Sunday church bulletin.
Lunch, fellowship, and support for widowed women at noon on the second Tuesday of each month.
Support groups are a way to receive care and connection in community. We offer groups for Bearvment , DivorceCare, Dementia Caregivers, and Mental Health. We have these on Rotation and if you have a need for more information, contact,
This team meets weekly to pray for concerns/requests submitted by Lake Grove members and friends. A weekly electronic prayer list is circulated to members/friends of the congregation who have requested to receive it.
This team meets weekly and its members provide support for immediate needs and concerns of Lake Grove congregants through telephone contact, or visits.
This team sends cards to celebrate and honor significant occasions and extend care when members are experiencing hardship.
