Lake Grove Concert Series will launch its 11th season with a concert of invigorating works for keyboards. Organist, Jeff Wood, has been thrilling audiences from Lake Grove’s organ console for more than a decade with his varied, fun programs. For this latest installment, Jeff decided to dust off some of the music that he has been carrying around with him since college, but never got around to learning. Alongside these classic works by J. S. Bach and César Franck, the audience will also be treated to exciting new pieces by David Hicken, Takatsugu Muramatsu, and others. These great masterworks are sure to inspire, and you may find yourself tapping along with these more recent compositions.
This family-friendly program features joyful music for piano and organ that will leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. As with all Lake Grove concerts, the program will be about an hour in length, and all ages are welcome to attend. Sunday, October 5, at 1 PM in the Sanctuary.
