Greg Allen-Pickett
Senior Pastor and Head of Staff
Rev. Greg Allen-Pickett grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona, and moved to the Pacific Northwest for college. He is delighted to return to the region to serve as the Senior Pastor and Head of Staff at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church. Before coming to Lake Grove, he served for more than nine years as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, Nebraska. Prior to entering pastoral ministry, Greg worked in international relief and development, an experience that continues to shape his passion for mission, justice, and building relationships across cultures. He holds degrees from Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Denver, and Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Greg is passionate about joyful worship, thoughtful preaching, faithful stewardship, and helping the church become a community where people know they belong and are invited to use their gifts. He loves bringing people together across differences and believes the church is at its best when it offers hope, practices hospitality, and serves its neighbors. Greg is married to Jessica, and they have a daughter, Esther, and two ridiculous but lovable lab-mix dogs. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, baking sourdough bread, recording podcasts, and exploring the natural beauty, coffee shops, and bakeries of the Pacific Northwest.
